Declaration & Handling Rules
Size, Weight & Billing
- Volumetric ratio 1:167 (volume ÷ 6000); the greater of total actual weight and total volumetric weight is the chargeable weight.
- Australia Post last mile: single side under 100 cm; if a side exceeds 100 cm the shipment must move by courier with a 22 kg minimum charge.
- Oversize/overweight surcharges apply by weight band (from 30 kg) and by longest side (from 110 cm) and are cumulative.
- Courier max single side is 240 × 200 × 150 cm; single-piece weight over 900 kg requires review.
- Wood crates/frames must use fumigation-free plywood with forklift feet over 10 cm and a hinged opening panel.
Documents, Customs & Certificates
- An electronic packing list and invoice are required; use our template or request it from customer service.
- If a valid, correct commercial invoice and related documents are not provided, we are not liable for any resulting hold or delay; all consequences and costs fall to the sender.
- Declared value around 1,000 AUD (or high-value single items over 50 kg) must be declared accurately; customs EMPP review may require proof of value.
- A China–Australia certificate of origin can waive part of the Australian duty for eligible products (it reduces duty only; government tax and GST still apply).
- Wood, rattan, and bamboo products require a fumigation certificate; fumigation and inspection can be arranged.
Storage, Returns & Liability
- Australia free-storage window is 3 business days after unpacking/de-palletizing; demurrage applies after that.
- China free-storage window is 15 calendar days from intake.
- Customs-held cargo that cannot clear within 30 calendar days may be destroyed per customs instruction.
- Returns with no instruction within 30 days are auto-treated as abandoned.
- Holding or re-routing cargo after loading is not guaranteed and carries operating fees; we accept no compensation liability for it.
About our DDP Service: Our “DDP Service” is a customs-clearance and tax-processing service for both parties. It does not constitute Incoterms DDP (Delivered Duty Paid).
